Weekend Coffee Share: December 3, 2016

Evening! I would’ve posted this much earlier today but honestly I’ve been lazy yet extremely productive at the same time. I’m working around the house in spurts today! The kitchen is mostly finished and I’ve done a good amount of laundry. My daughters have helped me clean up the living room and then they cleaned up their bedroom. They’re actually playing together right now while pausing periodically to watch whatever cartoon is playing on the television.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that according to the weather app on my phone, it’s 45 degrees outside but I wouldn’t know because I haven’t been outside at all today. I don’t particularly care to be freezing when I could be snuggled up warm on the couch with my huge, fluffy blanket. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I have been watching Britain’s Got Talent all day long and I cried at two songs that were sang… ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Why am I such a baby when it comes to the words of others? There were a few really beautiful songs.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the Mister and I got a notice on our apartment door yesterday saying that our second year at the apartment is approaching with a deadline to either sign another lease for next year or to give notice that we will be vacating. The apartments are also raising our rent whether we sign a yearly lease or if we pay month to month. Now we have about three weeks to make up our minds. Talk about pressure… ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the approaching apartment lease renewal deadline isn’t the only deadline making me nervous. With Christmas break approaching I now have to find a daycare for the girls to go to and everywhere I have called is wanting to charge me an ungodly amount of money for just two weeks of vacation. I’m talking $500+. For two weeks… ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I haven’t been very productive in the art challenge, but I’ve stayed fairly consistent with the #Blogidays challenge, which I’m pretty happy about. The #Blogidays challenge is basically a continuation of #NaBloPoMo challenge which was blogging every day in November. The #Blogidays challenge is blogging every day in December! I’m proud of myself for staying as consistent as I have!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I wish I could stick around and chat some more, alas I have a screaming five year old and a house to clean. ๐Ÿ˜ž I hope everyone is having a productive weekend and I’m going to try to catch up on posts momentarily. Have a lovely rest of the weekend!

  1. I hope you have a few minutes to relax and few minutes not to worry about things like leases and daycare!

Unfortunately, here is something to worry about – you need to fix your link on the Inlinkz linkup. I don’t know if you can easily, but you can delete it and do it again – for some reason the URL got messed up and has extra stuff at the beginning do it doesn’t work.

I hope you have a great week ahead!

  2. Glad you got the link fixed. I had some problems today, also. Some it was my fault. We also got a rent increase. The so called COL from Social Security should cover it. Now I know why several long residents moved out. Congratulations on posting every day for two months.Have a pleasant week.

  3. I hadnโ€™t heard of #Blogidays. I participated in NaNoWriMo, and it was challenging. I am taking a small break to recuperate, I donโ€™t know if I could launch myself right into another large challenge. Lots of luck to you for #Blogidays. Thanks for sharing.

    • Thank you so much! I do believe #Blogidays is a new Challenge. A few of us were fairly successful in the #NaBloPoMo challenge and decided to put our creativity and endurance to the test for December! ๐Ÿ˜œ No, no, we’re doing it for fun of course lol. It seems I have to participate in blogging challenges in order to stay consistent with my blogging! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜„

  4. I was lazy yesterday. I stayed in bed reading blogs and communicating with people I needed to catch up with online. Then I had to get dressed and go out before the rain. Luckily, I was able to run my errands and return home just as the rain was beginning. It hasn’t stopped yet so it’s a good thing I went out when I did! I hope you are able to do whatever you need to get done before Monday pops up!

  5. I hope you manage to find some reasonably priced childcare, it’s crazy how much it costs these days! Our lease is due to run out soon, we really want to move elsewhere but we just haven’t found anywhere suitable yet which is very frustrating!

  6. Good luck with the housing decision. It is so hard when they raise the rent. What crazy childcare costs. Kudos for doing the #blogidays challenge. When I do NaBloPoMo, I am ready for a break in December! That’s awesome that you are extending that writing habit for another month.
